Late night host Jimmy Kimmel reignited his feud with President Donald Trump while accepting the Critics Choice Award for Best Talk Show on Sunday night. Kimmel took a shot at Trump by making fun of his name.
While the pair have been critical of each other for years, the beef between Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump came to a head last September when Disney suspended Kimmel for comments he made about the murder of podcaster Charlie Kirk.
Despite Trump’s wishes of seeing him permanently canceled, Kimmel returned to the air about a week later, and last night, was award with the Best Talk Show prize at the Critics Choice Awards.
During his acceptance speech, Kimmel made sure to namecheck Trump, but did so by mocking his middle initial of “J” by deeming him ‘Donald Jennifer Trump’ — not exactly George Carlin-levels of comedy but certainly enough to chide the 79-year-old President.

“And most of all, I want to thank our president, Donald Jennifer Trump, without whom, we would be going home empty handed tonight. So thank you, Mr. President, for all the many ridiculous things you do each and every day. It’s been a banner couple of weeks, and we can’t get wait to get back on the air tomorrow night to talk about them,” Kimmel said.

As for what Kimmel actually said about Kirk, in hindsight, it’s shocking that he ultimately got suspended for it — which ultimately resulted in 436% increase in cancelations of Disney+ subscriptions in the subsequent weeks.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said.
The longtime late night TV host was then taken off the air on September 17 before returning on September 22, and has been on the air since.
