Controversial Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling recently got bullied into changing her Twitter profile picture after users noticed that there appeared to be black mold growing up the walls in the background.
The potential presence of black mold in J.K. Rowling’s home went immediately viral, with tons of jokes flying about perhaps this explains why she is the way she is.
Sorry but is that black mould growing up the walls of her house? Is that why she’s the way she is? pic.twitter.com/SNZjdbg25H

“RIP Edgar Allan Poe. You would have loved watching a beloved children’s author slowly driven to insanity by black mold inside the walls of her castle,” a tweet with over 260,000 likes reads.
“J.K. Rowling’s profile picture revealing visible black mold that is apparently growing up her walls is probably the greatest Chekhov’s gun of all time,” reads another tweet.

Rowling, however, chose a new profile picture that was just as easy to mock, as she chose a photo of herself that has a phallic-looking object protruding out of the side of her head.
“J.K. Rowling ditched the black mold pic for whatever the fuck we have here,” a viral tweet with over 72,000 likes says of the profile picture swap.
“J.K. Rowling got upset at people pointing out the black mold on her walls in her pfp so she changed it to her sitting in front of a furby with a rock hard erection,” joked another.

Rowling has over 14 million followers on her Twitter account, which she largely uses to disseminate hate speech about the trans and LGTBQ communities.
Since the massive success of Potter, Rowling has yet to recapture the magic of those novels with her subsequent work, as she’s spent much of the last decade writing crime fiction novels under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. Thur far, she has penned seven novels in her Cormoran Strike series.
Despite the controversy that surrounds Rowling, the author is reportedly involved in HBO’s development of its upcoming Harry Potter series.
