Warner Bros. has released the second official trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to 2019’s Best Picture-nominated, billion-dollar grossing Joker.
In addition to the return of Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix as Gotham City’s Clown Prince of Crime, Joker: Folie à Deux also features Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

Here is the official synopsis for the film, which is directed by Todd Phillips, via Warner Bros.
“Joker: Folie Ą Deux finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him.”
Released in theaters in 2019, Joker grossed nearly $1.1 billion at the global box office and holds the title for the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. In addition to being nominated for Best Picture, Joaquin Phoenix took home his first Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Arthur Fleck/Joker, while Hildur Guðnadóttir won for Best Original Score.
Joker was also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay (Todd Phillips and Scott Silver), Best Cinematography (Lawrence Sher), Best Costume Design (Mark Bridges), Best Film Editing (Jeff Groth), Best Makeup and Hairstyling (Nicki Ledermann and Kay Georgiou), , Best Sound Editing (Alan Robert Murray), and Best Sound Mixing (Tom Ozanich, Dean Zupancic, and Tod Maitland)
Alongside Phoenix and Gaga, Joker: Folie à Deux stars Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Steve Coogan, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey.
Joker: Folie à Deux will hit movie theaters on Friday, October 4. Joker is currently streaming on MAX, and you can check out the official teaser trailer that was released earlier this year below.
