Just a few years ago, Jonathan Majors had the makings of becoming one of the most exciting movie stars in the world. Now, he’s making a project that’ll probably be watched by a few thousand people.
According to reports, Jonathan Majors, who has not starred in a movie since his career imploded in 2023, has signed on to star in a project that’ll be partially produced by Ben Shapiro’s company.
“Kyle Rankin (Run Hide Fight) is directing from his own screenplay. The title, plot and other cast are being kept under wraps for now, but the story is said to be in the vein of ’80s and ’90s action movies Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, which were both about groups of teenage boys who had to band together to defeat invading enemies.”
“Ben Shapiro and Dallas Sonnier (Bone Tomahawk) are producing for The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend, respectively. Travis Mills (Frontier Crucible), Lillian Campbell (The Pendragon Cycle), and Sydney Aucreman (Terror On The Prairie) are also producing. [via Deadline]
Prior to his arrest, Majors was one of the most promising young actors in Hollywood thanks to his performances in projects such as The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Da 5 Bloods, The Harder They Fall, Lovecraft Country, and Creed III, and was also being positioned as the next “big bad” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In December 2023, however, Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor counts for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, who also filed a lawsuit against Majors claiming that he defamed her during a Good Morning America interview following his guilty conviction in which he said he “never laid [his] hands on a woman.”

The most notable event involving Majors since his fall from grace came last year when he married fellow actress Meagan Good.
