Back in mid-June, famed pop star and actor Justin Timberlake was arrested in the New York town of Sag Harbor on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Justin Timberlake’s arrest came just days before he was scheduled to begin his world tour, leading to the singer allegedly saying “This is going to ruin the tour” while being arrested.

About six weeks after Timberlake’s arrest, the judge overseeing his case suspended his license due to Timberlake’s refusal to take a breathalyzer test when he was pulled over.

The judge also said that he’s considering imposing a gag order on the case due to the “irresponsible” comments made by Timberlake’s lawyer Edward Burke Jr., who has insisted that the former NSYNC star was not intoxicated when he was pulled over.

Timberlake — who claims he had “one martini” before being pulled over and has pled not guilty — appeared virtually for an arraignment hearing earlier this week and is scheduled to return to court for another hearing on Friday, August 9. Another hearing scheduled for September 13 may require his in-person attendance.

“I look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake on these allegations. I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office,” Burke Jr. said.

Timberlake’s world tour is currently over in Europ, with the 43-year-old performing a pair of shows in Antwerp, Belgium on August 3 and 4. He’ll then head over to England for shows in Birmingham, Manchester, and London before heading to further European countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and France.

Timberlake will then embark on the American leg of his tour from late September to late December, beginning with a show in Newark and ending in Kansas City.
