Of Course Keanu Reeves Kept The Coolest Souvenir From ‘The Matrix’ (And ‘John Wick’)

In an industry known for its vapidness, The Matrix and John Wick star Keanu Reeves famously stands out amongst his peers for his surprising levels of depth.

As it turns out, Reeves is not on a deep man but he’s also a sentimental one, as he apparently has kept some souvenirs from his films, including some specifically awesome ones from The Matrix and John Wick: *the* red pill and John Wick’s watch, respectively.

“Not stolen…the watch and wedding ring from ‘John Wick,’ a sword from ’47 Ronin,’ and the first red pill that the Wachowskis ever gave me,” Reeves said during a recent AMA session on Reddit.

Reeves will next be seen starring in John Wick: Chapter 4, which hits theaters on Friday, March 24. Alongside Reeves, the film stars Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Ian McShane.

In addition to the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, Reeves is also gearing up to begin production on John Wick: Chapter 5, which could potentially be the final film in the franchise to feature Reeves — who is close to 60-years-old — in the main role.

The franchise is also set to expand in the coming years with the release of the Ana de Armas-starring spinoff film Ballerina, which producers are surely hoping will spawn multiple sequels in the way John Wick did.

According to reports, Reeves will be appearing as Baba Yaga in Ballerina, which currently does not have an official release date. Reeves won’t be the only John Wick actor to reprise his role, as Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Anjelica Huston will also feature in the film. Additional cast members include Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
