Famed millenial comedic duo Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are teaming up for another movie, this time a horror comedy. According to the pair, they’ll be starring and producing the upcoming film Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein.
The announcement of Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein was made earlier this week on the Prime Video talk show series Good Sports, which Kenan Thompson — who is the longest-tenure cast member in the history of Saturday Night Live having joined the iconic sketch comedy series in 2003 — hosts alongside Kevin Hart.
With Kel Mitchell filling in as co-host alongside Kenan, however, the pair announced the project during the show.

According to the official logline for the project, “two delivery drivers whose routine drop-off takes a terrifying turn when they arrive at a creepy, out-of-place castle and accidentally awaken Frankenstein’s monster — turning an ordinary night into a fight for survival.”
The film — which a producer described as being “Shaun of the Dead meets Scooby-Doo” — will begin production this summer.
“Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected,” Thompson said when announcing the project. “We’re excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it.”
“Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new,” Mitchell added. “It’s funny, it’s scary, and it’s a great ride.”
Thompson and Mitchel famously met when they were both cast members on the Nickelodeon comedy series All That, which spawned the Good Burger skit that launched two movies: Good Burger in 1997 and Good Burger 2 in 2023.
Following All That, the pair starred in their own sketch comedy show Kenan & Kel for four seasons.
