Kendrick Lamar took a victory lap for the West Coast by dropping his music video for ‘Not Like Us‘ while Drake was in the Hamptons at Michael Rubin’s White Party. There is no question as to whether the timing was intentional.

It was entirely calculated and completely savage.

Drake and Kendrick have beef that dates back more than a decade. They traded little jabs back and forth through various diss tracks over the years but the rivalry escalated to the fullest extent during the spring.

The whole thing escalated when Drake used A.I.-generated vocals that sounded like Tupac Shakur. It was a move that did not go over well out West.

In response, Kendrick released ‘Euphoria’ and ‘6:16 in LA’ with direct shots at Drake. Drake responded with ‘Family Matters,’ which accused Kendrick of being a domestic abuser and hinted that one of his children was fathered by another man.

It was a huge mistake. Kendrick immediately fired back with ‘Meet the Grahams,’ which accused drake of being a sexual predator who is involved with sex trafficking and fathered a secret child.

‘Not Like Us’ dropped one day later, which effectively became one of the songs of the summer. It further accuses Drake of pedophilia, among many other things.

Drake tried to come back with ‘The Heart Part 6,’ but it didn’t matter.

Kendrick won. It’s over.

Kendrick Lamar further dismantled Drake on the 4th of July.

Fast forward to Thursday!

Drake attended Michael Rubin’s famously boujee ‘White Party’ in the Hamptons. He was trying to enjoy the holiday among some of the highest-profile celebrities in the world.

It quickly turned sour.

Kendrick dropped the music video for ‘Not Like Us,’ which is yet another victory lap. SURPRISE!

Not only did Kendrick Lamar ruin Drake’s weekend in the Hamptons, he dropped the video at peak cookout hours. Families and friends were together for Independence Day. Nothing else was going on.

In turn, the music video commanded all of the attention from everybody and racked up more than 12 million views on YouTube in 12 hours. That doesn’t even include all of the views on social media.

There are multiple not-so-subtle references in Kendrick’s video that hand Drake yet another loss. There is no coming back. It’s so brutal.

However, Drake tried to play it off like he didn’t get buried alive — again — and grabbed a microphone to perform at the White Party.

Sorry, Drake. Your diversion tactic isn’t going to work. You’re not fooling anyone…
