Sydney Sweeney and Kim Kardashians were just two of the many celebrities at Jeff Bezos’ seemingly family-and-friendless Venice wedding. According to recent rumors, the attention that Sweeney received at the event for triggering for Kardashian.
According to reports, the attention Sydney Sweeney got at Jeff Bezos’ wedding in Italy in late June — which she reportedly attended to essentially “kiss the ring” as she tries to set up a movie at Amazon — was a “huge blow” to Kardashian’s ego.
“Kim won’t say it outright, but seeing Sydney get all the attention in Venice was a huge blow to her ego,” a source told National Enquirer.
In particular, the attention that Sweeney reportedly received from legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady — Brady was reportedly seen chatting up Sweeney and model Brooks Nader at the wedding — particularly stung Kim K (no word on how she feels about reports that TB12 is having a ‘summer romance’ with actress Sofia Vergara, though).
“The Kardashians star, 44, was said to be especially hopeful because she knew that retired NFL player Tom Brady was also invited to the upscale event and ‘she’s still got a huge crush on him.’ However, the divorcé – who split from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen in October 2022 – ended up paying ‘way more attention to Sydney and she ended up feeling nearly invisible,’ the source explains.”
To be fair to Kardashian, Sweeney is at a stage of her career where she’s going to be the center of attention in every room she walks into as she’s widely considered to be the next big thing, both as an actress and as a generational sex symbol, the latter of which Kardashian laid claim to for quite some time.
Sweeney, who most recently starred in the AppleTV+ Echo Valley, will next be seen starring in a pair of films that both release on August 22: Eden, alongside Ana de Armas and Vanessa Kirby, and Americana.
That’s now all Sweeney’s got coming this year, as she’ll also be starring alongside Amanda Seyfried in Paul Feig’s adaptation of The Housemaid, while her Christy Martin biopic is also in post-production and could potentially release this year.
