A woman held two differently sized beer glasses at Longhorn Steakhouse. She warned customers who think they get more in the tall glass to double-check how much they’re actually served. However, many viewers of the now-viral video push back on her suspicion.
In a video with over 1 million views, TikToker Robert Health Tips (@health_tips_extra) sits across from a woman at Longhorn Steakhouse. She holds a short beer glass filled with water and a mostly empty tall beer glass.
“Check the fluid level here,” she says as she pours the small glass into the tall one. “Huh, same fluid level. This one costs more. You be the judge.”
The liquid in the tall glass is only slightly lower than the level of the short glass.

Are The Beer Sizes Different At Longhorn Steakhouse?
According to Longhorn Steakhouse’s menu, customers can order draft beers in 16-ounce (oz) or 20-oz glasses. The 16 oz costs around $4.99 to $5.99, while the 20 oz option costs about $1 extra. These prices may vary slightly by location.
The woman in the now-viral video isn’t the only frustrated customer to take to social media to compare the size of the glasses. And other chain restaurants may have the same issue.
One Applebee’s customer on Reddit pours a smaller glass of beer into a tall cup. The beer fits into the smaller glass, albeit up to the brim. Whereas the tall glass left some room.
However, other users point out that a 4-oz difference may not make or break whether a small glass fits into a tall one, and vice versa. So, the frustrated customers likely received the correct amount of beer.
“The beer (hopefully) had a head when poured into the large glass. Makes the comparison to the small glass (where the beer didn’t have a head) even dumber than it already is,” one writes.
Another says, “This is really misleading. If you were served a small one, it would not be filled right to the top. While this might not seem like a lot, the short glass is much wider at the top, so there is a lot of liquid in that extra inch.”
Do Viewers Agree With Her Observation?
In the comments of the viral TikTok, many viewers pushed back at the woman’s assumption that Longhorn Steakhouse tried to scam her out of a few more ounces of beer.
“You’d be surprised how many more ounces you could fit,” one commented.
Another explained, “It may look close but there quite a bit of space at the top plus it’s wider so it holds more.”
Other frequent Longhorn Steakhouse diners suggested that the woman’s short glass isn’t used to serve beer anyway.
A viewer said, “I’m sorry you are comparing a water glass with a beer glass.”
A Longhorn server even chimed in. They added, “Longhorn server here. That’s a 20-oz water glass and a 20-oz bar glass. That’s not our 16-oz pint glass.”
@health_tips_extra Two beer glasses: one short, one tall. Same fill level. The tall one costs more. Good catch! Only a frequent customer would probably catch that. Most people would not notice and just pay more.
