Man Threatens To Sue Woman Who Exposed Him For Refusing To Pay For Dinner Unless She Has Relations With Him. Then She Books A Legal Consultation With His Dad

One woman’s 50-cent-level revenge plot against a man who treated her grimly on a date is getting all the love from commenters.

But is she really going through with the plan or just playing things up for views?

Woman Calls Lawyer On Creep

In a viral video with more than 2.9 million views, content creator Sofia Kochanova (@S.gorshok) shared how she’s getting back on the creepy dude she went on a date with.

Kochanova explained that the man told her he wouldn’t pay the check at dinner unless she slept with him. When she said she’d expose him online, he threatened to sue, saying his dad was a lawyer.

So she says she decided she’d go straight to the source and booked an appointment with his dad to give him the real tea on what his son did and how he treats women.

In a second video, Kochanova delivered on that promise. Fresh out of the meeting, she recapped what went down.

“It turns out of course he had no idea this is all what’s happening. It was all absolutely new to him,” she says. “Whenever I was showing him a video he was like, ‘What?’ I wish you could see his face.”

It’s worth noting that Kochanova’s channel features similar content. And this could be a scripted skit rather than a real-life encounter. Real or staged, the premise clearly struck a nerve.

The Bigger Picture

Unfortunately, the behavior Kochanova describes (men treating dates as transactional exchanges) isn’t exactly rare.

Vice recently rounded up the biggest complaints modern daters have, and a lack of basic respect ranked near the top.

“There’s no respected social contract; people don’t feel like they owe anyone anything despite the fact that everyone is putting themselves out there to try to find love,” one person wrote.

Another put it more bluntly: treating dating like “ordering a Whopper at Burger King.”

That transactional mindset has a darker underbelly, too.

A Guardian investigation into the so-called “manosphere” found that more and more men are being radicalized by online communities that push the idea that women owe men something—financially, sexually, or otherwise.

Research from anti-fascism organization Hope Not Hate found that 41% of young men in the U.K. support Andrew Tate, compared to just 12% of young women.

“Over the last few years, the rhetoric of the manosphere has increasingly leaked out of isolated forums onto mainstream platforms,” Hope Not Hate’s senior policy officer told the Guardian.

Commenters React

“This is actually genius, because if you have a consultation, you just conflicted his dad out so he can’t represent his son,” a top comment read.

“This is the pettiest revenge ive ever seen and i absolutely love it!” a person said.

“Girl, become that man’s step mommy,” another wrote.
