Drake is not going to enjoy the 2024 college football season. Especially on the HBCU level.

The Toronto-born rapper was on the wrong end of two separate diss tracks that just so happened to be two of the most popular songs of the summer, and it seems as though he is in for a brutal fall as well!

HBCU marching bands all over the country wasted no time in debuting their renditions of ‘Not Like Us’ and ‘BBL Drizzy’ by Kendrick Lamar and Metro Boomin’ over the weekend. Every version sounded different but the messaging stayed the same.

Drake is so cooked…

College football’s assault on Drake began in Atlanta on Thursday when Alabama State’s Mighty Marching Hornets band performed at the Braves’ HBCU Night at Truist Park. They were lit, and that was just the appetizer.

For those who are not caught up on the beef, ‘Not Like Us’ is the final killshot in a long series of back-and-forth jabs between the two rappers. The Mustard-produced track is riddled with brutal references to the OVO brand, Drake’s family, his upbringing, and even his favorite basketball team— among so many other things. Most notably, Kendrick Lamar further escalates his serious allegations of pedophilia and exploitation, which are aimed at the Canadian and his crew. (It is totally worth reading the Genius Lyrics breakdown to understand just how deep it gets, if you haven’t already!)

Florida A&M’s Marching 100 played a snippet of ‘Not Like Us’ on ABC on Saturday.

Alcorn State’ Sounds Of Dyn-O-mite band debuted its version during the 2024 reveal.

The Southern University Human Jukebox laid it down at the National Battle of the Bands.

Even some high school bands got in on the action!

And then there’s BBL Drizzy.

Young Metro and Drake have had beef for a few years now. It further escalated when the latter took a shot at the former in January after the dust had supposedly settled.

Metro Boomin’ responded by pairing a vintage-sounding soul vocalist over some 808 drums for the coldest loop of the year. The lyrics are derived from Rick Ross’ rumor that Drake received plastic surgery on his abs and his nose. He jokingly used the term ‘BBL,’ which is an acronym for Brazilian Butt Lift.

Jackson State threw the Boomin’ beat in its set for the Battle of the Bands along with ‘Euphoria,’ another one of Kendrick Lamar’s Drake disses. Brutal.

It’s going to be a very long fall for Drake. He might want to avoid the gridiron…
