If you had ‘Mr. Beast and Mark Zuckerberg chat about meeting up to fight MMA while Mark wears a shirt worn by Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network‘ on your BINGO card this week then boy do I have great news for you! You can go ahead and mark that space off.

Facebook co-founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared this week on the Colin and Samir YouTube channel to discuss Facebook’s revival and how they are revamping the Newsfeed to make it one of the most prominent features on the Internet again. Zuck very astutely points out that none of Facebook’s competitors ever tried to clone Newsfeed and how that still remains one of the best ways to keep up with your friends and digest news…

Running our Editorial Operations here at BroBible I would absolutely love to see a resurgence in Facebook Newsfeed usage as that used to be our biggest channel to connect with readers. And while talking about Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg dropped a hilarious admission about the shirt he was wearing being an actual t-shirt worn by Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network.

Mark revealed that he only watched The Social Network once. At the time he took the entire company to go see it, saying everyone would eventually see it at some point so they might as well all see it together. But this piece of shirt trivia is incredible:

Mark Zuckerberg told Colin and Samir that a friend tipped him off about the Ardsley Athletics shirt being up for auction and he had to buy it. The image shown of the auction item lists it at $2,000-$4,000. Here’s the moment they discuss it in the Colin and Samir interview at the 17:19 mark, just hit play:

MZ attended Ardsley High School in Ardsley, New York just north of NYC before transferring to Phillips Exeter Academy where he would graduate high school and move on to Harvard where he’d drop out after founding Facebook. Mark was the captain of the Fencing Team at Ardsley, hence the Ardsley Athletics t-shirt included in The Social Network movie that Mar, Zuckerberg would later purchase… Though he doesn’t say how much he spent on it.

The moment the t-shirt appeared in The Social Network was when Eduardo Saverin showed up at their Silicon Valley apartment:

Oh to be a fly on the wall when Jesse Eisenberg learns that Mark Zuckerberg owns the t-shirt he wore and to hear how Jesse, who is outspoken about Mark, feels about it. Personally, I think this is awesome. What’s the point of having endless amounts of money if you don’t occasionally spend it on silly items like this? Well done, Mark.
