After a video of Martin Lawrence seemingly needing a hand from Will Smith to keep his balance went viral, the Bad Boys: Ride or Die star has issued a public statement on his health.

While appearing on Hot 97’s radio show Ebro in the Morning to promote the new Bad Boys film, the 59-year-old actor and comedian was asked if he’d like to say something publicly about his health, to which Lawrence replied:

“I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed, you know? I’m glad to be waking up every day. I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”

Later in the interview, Lawrence reiterated that he’s in good shape by saying “I’m healthy as hell. Stop the rumors!”

In addition to the video from the Bad Boys: Ride or Die premiere in  Los Angeles, an interview that Lawrence gave with ExtraTV also raised concern among movie fans as he seemed to be mispronouncing and slurring his words.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die, hitting theaters on Friday, June 7, will be the fourth film in the Bad Boys franchise following 2020’s Bad Boys For Life, 2003’s Bad Boys II, and the original Michael Bay-directed film in 1995. Bad Boys: Ride or Die was helmed by filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who also directed Bad Boys For Life.

Alongside longtime stars Will Smith (starring in just his second movie since infamously slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards) and Martin Lawrence — Bad Boys: Ride or Die also stars Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, Rhea Seehorn, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, DJ Khaled, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Melanie Liburd and Tiffany Haddish.
