Hard to believe, but if things had gone a different way and these planned films weren’t canceled before they could be made, there would be even MORE movies based on Marvel comics than there already is (52 of them, counting Deadpool 2).

From the first Captain America movie way back in 1944 to Howard the Duck in 1986 to the current Marvel Cinematic Universe which began in 2008 with Iron Man, there has been no shortage of films based on Marvel comics characters such as Blade, The Punisher, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, the Avengers and more.

However, five movies based on Marvel Comics characters that were already in the planning stages, some further along than others, sadly (or gladly, depending on how you feel about them), never did quite make it into full production.

Those films include The Amazing Spider-Man 3 (starring Andrew Garfield), Spider-Man 4 (starring Tobey Maguire), The Incredible Hulk 2, Silver Surfer and She-Hulk starring Brigitte Nielsen (who even shot promotional images in costume for the movie).

Check out the whats, hows and whys of these five Marvel movies that never made it to the big screen in the video by Screen Rant below.
