One woman is questioning her career choices after a Miami, Florida-based dancer who calls herself a “midnight ballerina” shared how much she made in a night and the 2024 fiscal year.
In a TikTok with 266,800 views, Elisha Ross (@keepingupwithelisha) asks viewers whether they’d seen the dancer counting her tips. “She made like $9,240,” Ross says. According to her recollection, $2,000 was from a customer who came in and quickly booked the woman for an hour, while the remainder was from a customer who booked the dancer hour after hour just to talk about his job.
Ross adds that when she scrolled through the woman’s account, she found a video of the woman doing her taxes. “She made $710,000 in the year 2024,” she says.
Ross says videos like those make her hate social media because she realizes she could’ve made different choices when she was younger. “I shoulda when I had it,” she says. However, she feels she doesn’t have “it” anymore, so she can’t become a dancer at this point. Now, she’s wondering what to do “‘cause selling mattresses ain’t working for me.”
‘She’s The Outlier’
In the comments section, viewers said the woman was lying about how she made her money. Or, at the very least, she was an exception, not the rule.
“She didn’t just talk or dance for that kinda money,” one wrote.
“She lying she’s doing extra on the side,” a second said.
Another claimed, “Most skrippers don’t make that. Social media is not real life
Someone else pointed out that Ross had mistaken where the woman was from.
“It was Miami and I couldn’t believe it,” they wrote.
Based on this information, it appears the woman Ross is referring to is a 25-year-old TikToker named Caitlin whose stage name is Cherry (@caitlinsometimescherry).
Indeed, she posted a video saying she made $9,240 in tips and another on her 2024 taxes, where her income was $710,635.

According to ZipRecruiter, yes. The site reports that the average annual salary for a spicy dancer in Miami is $110,000 with an average hourly rate of $53.22. Nationwide, the average yearly salary is $118,821 with an hourly rate of $57.13.
