Michael B. Jordan is asking for big money after becoming an Oscar winner.

Last week, Jordan won an Oscar for Best Male Performance in a movie for his role in Sinners.

An emotional Jordan went on to thank all the actors that paved the way for him throughout the years.

“I stand here because of the people that came before me: Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jamie Fox, Forest Whittaker, Will Smith,” says Jordan in the clip above. “And to be amongst those giants, amongst those greats, amongst my ancestors, amongst my guys, thank you everybody in this room, and everybody at home for supporting me over my career. I feel it. I know you guys want me to do well and I want to do that because you guys bet on me. So thank you for keeping betting on me. And I’mma keep stepping up, and I’mma keep being the best version of myself I can be.”

Jordan already has six projects lined up, including the upcoming reboot of ‘Miami Vice.”

According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Jordan has upped his asking price to star in ‘Miami Vice” to $18 million.

Fans believe Jordan’s asking price should be higher after he won the Oscar.

“As he damn should. Last week’s price is not this week‘s price,” commented one fan on X.

“As he should. $20 million a picture moving forward. Denzel and Will numbers,” commented another fan.

It seems Jordan’s pay bump is justified, considering he’s one of the top actors of his generation.
