While at the premiere of the Hannah Montana Anniversary Special in New York City on Monday night, pop star Miley Cyrus said that Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper is “creepy” for moving next door to her. Cyrus’ comments were in jest, however, as Cooper was the host of the event.

As she was speaking on stage at the premiere event for the Hannah Montana Anniversary Special, Miley Cyrus detailed how Alex Cooper moved next door to her after conducting an interview with her at Cyrus’ home.

Although Cyrus’ comments about Cooper being “creepy” were taken as a joke, the old saying does go that jokes are used to hide the truth.

Miley Cyrus called Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper “creepy” for moving in next door to her after interviewing Cyrus at her home

“Alex being a superfan… it’s kinda creepy… she is also my neighbor, which is also creepy. She got money and then moved next door to me. And she was like, ‘Oh my god you live here’ and she had interviewed me at my house five years ago so she new where I was,” Cyrus said to the crowd.

“Who knew a blonde wig was all it takes to hide your secret identity from your friends? As Hannah Montana turns 20, find out how to watch the special anniversary event, and reacquaint yourself with the unforgettable bops and bangers, over-the-top fashion, and memorable zingers that made the show a global hit,” Disney says of the event.
