Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown reportedly filed a complaint against her co-star David Harbour prior filming the fifth and final season of the hit Netflix series.
David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown play characters that are particularly close in Stranger Things, as Harbour’s Hopper serves as a father figure to Brown’s Eleven.
Millie Bobby Brown reportedly filed a harassment complaint against Stranger Things co-star David Harbour
According to a recent report from The Daily Mail, the young actress “filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” with a source adding that “there were pages and pages of accusations” and that the investigation into her allegations “went on for months.”
The report adds that Brown’s allegations did not include any accusations of sexual misconduct, and that she had a representative with her on set while filming season 5. Netflix also declined to comment.
Last week, the official trailer for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things was released and featured scenes of Brown’s and Harbour’s characters together.
Alongside Brown and Harbour, season five of Stranger Things will feature the returning cast of Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Brett Gelman (Murray), Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), and Linda Hamilton (Dr. Kay).
Here is the official synopsis for Stranger Things 5, via Netflix:
“The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.”
“As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time.”
Stranger Things 5 will be releasing in two “volumes,” the first on Wednesday, November 26 and the second on December 25.
