Speeding on a motorcycle is amongst the most dangerous on-road activities anyone can do as pads, a helmet, and leathers are the only thing separating the asphalt from skin in case of a crash. This motorcyclist didn’t get that memo, or didn’t care, and led an officer on a high-speed chase that reached speeds of 151 miles per hour.

Dash cam footage from the police cruiser was released and around the 6-minute mark below (the video should start then) the motorcyclist fleeing cops busts a u-turn and takes off, reaching speeds over 130 MPH while going over a hill.

The cruiser is chasing and makes it over the hilltop just in time to see the fleeing motorcyclist crash into a car at 131 MPH as pieces of the bike shatter in every direction. Somehow, some way, the biker appears mostly unscathed and found sitting upright in the road when the officer pulls up and they then roll over and put their hands behind their back to be handcuffed. The fact they are in one piece is mind-blowing:

That chase, based on the time stamp in the upper center of the video, took place on the 4th of July. I cannot imagine a worse way to spend Independence Day than behind bars after suffering the worst road rash of your life. Because while they motorcyclist had all his arms and legs he wasn’t wearing much protective gear and that slide across the road definitely took some skin with it.

To anyone out there seeing this, let it be a lesson to always pull over when you see police lights. If they’re pulling your over then get over to the right as fast as possible. And the same is true if they’re chasing someone else. Just be safe out there, please.
