Mr. Tendernism Walter Johnson appears to be doing fine after leaving the Southern California BBQ spot Destination Smokehouse.
Last month, Johnson started a GoFundMe, which claims that he was fired from the restaurant that he helped go viral with his “Tendernism” catchphrase.
Destination Smokehouse owner Nick Yepremian denies firing Johnson, but admits to trying to trademark the “Tendernism” catchphrase.
“Walter was never asked to leave. The application to register the trademark for Tendernism was not filed without his knowledge. Walter was an early source of inspiration for me, and I’ve always been grateful for that.”
After his exit, Johnson has been collaborating with other viral influencers and was recently featured on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show.
After allegedly being let go from Destination Smokehouse, life has been changing for Mr. Tendernism. He’s more popular than ever—recently spotted on TV, opening his own restaurant that’s been selling out, and winning the trademark for his name. 🔥💯

While Johnson is experiencing success, several videos show that Destination Smokehouse is now struggling to attract visitors to its restaurant.
