Nikki Glaser Calls BS On Tom Brady’s ‘Impossible’ Post-Roast Complaints

Comedian Nikki Glaser isn’t buying what Tom Brady is selling when it comes to his feelings following his headline-grabbing roast on Netflix.

In the wake of The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, the future Hall of Fame quarterback said that he wouldn’t do something like that again because of the effects it had on his kids and that he “maybe didn’t consider the backlash from his family and how it would affect them.”

“I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way they affected my kids,” Brady said on Ryan Clark’s The Pivot podcast. “It’s the hardest part about, like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected, actually the people that I care about the most in the world.”

Glaser, however — who many believe was one of the night’s best performers — simply cannot believe that Brady did not know what he was getting himself into given the history of mainstream roast events. Glaser, in fact, said his claims are “impossible.”

“I also think Tom Brady does not do anything without doing his research and knowing exactly what he’s getting into,” Glaser told Hoda Kotba and Jenna Bush Hager on Today.

“It’s impossible to me that he didn’t consider what could have happened because there’s roast footage out there that you can watch and go, ‘They’re gonna go this hard,’” she said. “But then, there’s a part of me that thinks that Tom Brady, especially given his career and how much people love him, no one’s ever said a bad thing to him in the past 30 years, so he doesn’t know what anyone’s capable of going there.”

It shouldn’t necessarily come as a surprise that Brady was caught off guard by the ruthlessness of the comedians, however, as he softly told comedian Jeff Ross not to “say that s— again” after the veteran roaster made a joke about New England Patriots owner Robert Craft’s massage parlor scandal.
