Arizona Woman Applies For Job At ‘Mexican Hooters’ Ojos Locos. She’s In For A Rude Awakening. Then Customers Intervene

An Arizona woman decided to audition for a job at Ojos Locos, a sports cantina where waitresses wear revealing outfits. She said customers came through for her in the middle of her interview and hopes it will move the needle to get her hired.

TikToker Elle Milan (@ellie.mesa) sits in her car after her interview at Ojos Locos, describing it as the “Mexican version of Hooters.”

She says she was intimidated at first when she walked in and saw “straight butt cheek in [her] face.” However, she says she decided the appearance of her prospective co-workers is great gym motivation instead.

She met the manager and immediately clicked with her. Then, customers started walking by.

What Did Customers Say During Her Interview?

“These people start walking by us while she’s interviewing me, and they’re like, ‘Hire this b—-. I want this b—- to be my server,'” she recalls the customers saying. “Damn straight. Tell it to her face. Hire me now!”

But the verbal interview wasn’t where it ended. The manager, she says, handed her a tiny outfit and told her to put it on for an “audition.”

“So I put on the thing, which my butt is hanging out and my t— are everywhere. I’m like sucking in,” she continues. “She takes a picture of me, and I probably look constipated.”

At the end of the clip, she shares that she’s confident in her performance at the audition.

Is It Difficult To Get A Job At Ojos Locos?

Previous Ojos Locos job candidates who shared their experience on Indeed, a job board and forum, say the process of getting a job at the cantina as a “Chica,” or waitress, is relatively straightforward.

The candidates report that the interviewer makes sure they’re comfortable wearing lingerie and bikinis on the job and whether they can do their own makeup. They also seem to value previous serving experience.

One commenter on an r/AskReddit post notes that the audition mainly checks to see if candidates can fit into the uniform. They also note that the uniform may have been previously worn by other candidates, but you have the option to buy a new one for the audition.

It may take a few days to hear back after an interview, as the location’s team reviews the uniform photos they take at the audition.

Did She Get The Job?

In the comments, other women who worked at Ojos Locos praised the TikToker’s high energy and left her words of encouragement.

“As a former ojos locos girl HELL YEAH GIRLY you’ll get the job for sure you pretty asf,” one said.

A second wrote, “I used to ojos locos when i was itty bitty & i actually loved it i would make BANKKKK. you got it in the bank boo.”

“With that charm you will do excellent. You have a funny personality. They need you,” a third added.

Prospective customers even chimed in, hoping she gets the job.

“Please lord give this baddie the job. She rocks!” a commenter wrote.

“Damn I want to go see you if you got that job,” another said.

“May I respectfully ask which restaurant you applied for, so I can try this restaurant you’re talking about?” a viewer asked.

In a brief follow-up video, Milan shares that she got the job, saying she “manifested” the opportunity. She also thanks commenters for their good luck wishes.
