The Game of Thrones universe has never been shy about including intimate adult scenes and season two of House of the Dragon is no different.

Olivia Cooke, who plays one of the lead roles in the series in Alicent Hightower, recently recalled filming an “animalistic” sex scene for season two of the hit HBO fantasy series.

“’It was messy as f—. It wasn’t beautiful, and that was really fun to do.’ It was ‘carnal’ and even ‘animalistic,’ she says.

“‘I think Ryan [Condal, the showrunner] said we weren’t learning any more about the characters, which I disagree with slightly, but it’s okay. It’s his show,’ she adds, with no hard feelings. Maybe we’ll see it in the bloopers, she says, laughing.” [via Elle]

Unfortunately for House of the Dragon fans, Cooke says the scene was cut. Season two of House of the Dragon, which is a prequel to Game of Thrones, premiered on HBO and MAX on Sunday, June 16.

In addition to Cooke, House of the Dragon also stars Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifan,s Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Franke,l Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham, Jefferson Hall, and more.

While Cooke is just becoming a household name now thanks to House of the Dragon, the 30-year-old English actress has been a promising talent for a decade now, appearing in shows such as Bates Motel and Slow Horses, and films such as The Signal, Ouija, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Thoroughbreds (with fellow rising star Anya Taylor-Joy), Ready Player One, Sound of Metal, Little Fish, Naked Singularity, and more.

As for Cooke’s future, in addition to her role on House of the Dragon, she’s also set to star in the upcoming film Visitation.
