Warner Bros. has unveiled the first official trailer for One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson — known for acclaimed films like Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, and The Master — One Battle After Another reportedly has a budget around $150 million, making it Anderson’s most expensive project to date.
This teaser arrives just one week after Warner Bros. announced shifting the film’s release date from August to September. Alongside Academy Award-winner Leonardo DiCaprio, the ensemble cast of One Battle After Another includes Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Sean Penn, Alana Haim, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris.
One Battle After Another is inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland, marking the second time Anderson has adapted one of Pynchon’s works for the screen, following his 2014 film Inherent Vice.
