The “Original” Hooters brand, based in Clearwater, Florida, wants everyone to know that it is not going out of business. For those who don’t know, Hooters is registered under two different groups: Hooters, Inc., based in Clearwater, Florida, and Hooters of America, Inc., based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Bloomberg reported last week that Hooters of America was considering filing for bankruptcy.

Amid HOA’s demise, Hooters Inc., which operates several Hooters franchises in the Florida and Chicago area, released a statement regarding the bankruptcy rumors.

“You may see some news articles today containing rumors that Hooters (Hooters of America/HOA Brands) is filing bankruptcy. Please know that this is not our company. We are financially strong and growing including building new restaurants in the Villages and Westley chapel, slated to open later this year.”

“For over 40 years, the Original Hooters group has been known for its World Famous Chicken Wings, fun atmosphere, and legendary services from the iconic Hooters girls. ”

While speaking with Outkick, Hooters Inc wants to assure customers that their brand is strong and their business is booming.
