Influencer and former LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne has been in the spotlight for years, and her relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes has only made her even more of a pop-culture fixture.
The two have been dating since before his Major League Baseball debut, and fans spot them often, from games to restaurants to airports.
Recently, one fan got what he thought would be the perfect run-in. Until he saw the photo.
Is Paul Skenes Terrible At Taking Photos?
TikTok creator Stevie (@steviemast) said he ran into the couple at the airport and decided to approach Dunne for a picture. He shared two photos in his post, with the first showing him smiling next to Skenes, clearly excited about the encounter.
“Saw [Livvy] Dunn and Paul Skenes at the airport,” he wrote in the video’s text overlay. “Decided to ask [Livvy] for a pic.”
The second photo shows what Skenes actually took when Stevie handed him the phone.
The result is an awkwardly angled picture showing Dunne in frame. Stevie the fan, on the other hand, is a different story. His entire head is cropped out, leaving only the bottom half of his face visible at the very bottom edge.
“Bad idea,” he wrote over the photo, accompanying it with a laughing emoji. His post got over 826,700 views at the time of writing.
And while not everyone is born a fantastic photographer and a good pitcher at the same time, we can also factor in airport tiredness to explain the hilariously poor result.
“I just wanted a pic,” he added in the caption.
Commenters Find It Hilarious
The comments section loved the moment. Even Dunne jumped in, writing, “I’m showing this to him rn.” “LMK why he did it,” Stevie responds.
Someone else asked, “Did he actually take it like that or did u crop it?”
Stevie replied, “He took it like that.”
Another user joked, “Skenes just like us,” while someone else theorized that he probably tried to center Dunne so much that Stevie got cut out entirely. “He was prolly trying to center her in the frame,” they wrote.
“Dude will you take a picture of me and your girl?” another user quipped.
