The official trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man has been released ahead of its debut on Netflix on Friday, March 20. Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy will be reprising his role of Tommy Shelby.

In addition to Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is also set to star Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, and Stephen Graham.

The film — which is Murphy’s highest-profile project since winning the Academy Award for Best Actor, having only starred in the tiny dramas Small Things like These and Steve since — was written by series creator Steven Knight and was directed by Tom Harper, who directed three episodes of the series in its first season back in 2013.

“Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground.”

Additional cast members include Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck, and Jay Lycurgo. Prior to releasing on Netflix, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will have a limited theatrical run that’s set to begin on March 6.

In addition to the Peaky Blinders movie, Murphy also made a cameo as his 28 Days Later character Jim in Nia DaCosta’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Should a third film in that series get made, Murphy would reportedly star in the project. The Oppenheimer Oscar winner is also rumored to be taking on the role of the villainous Lord Voldemort in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series (at least according to a potential slip-of-the-tongue by Ralph Fiennes).
