The latest trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu , hitting movie theaters on May 22, has been released. The newest trailer sees Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian take off his mask for the first time (in the promotional material).
The promotional run for The Mandalorian and Grogu has been widely criticized thus far, especially following the lackluster teaser that was unveiled during the Super Bowl.
This latest trailer, however, has addressed one major criticism, though, as it confirmed that its star, Pedro Pascal, will actually physically be in the film and not just performing a voice role.
Check out the official synopsis and trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu below.
The latest trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu sees Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin take his mask off
“The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”
The Mandalorian and Grogu is a spin-off film of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, which premiered in 2019 and has run for three seasons. While the series was a massive hit in its first two seasons, its most recent third season saw a massive drop-off in fan engagement and enthusiasm.
The film is also the latest in Pedro Pascal’s stacked run over the last few years, having starred in films such as The Wild Robot, Gladiator II, Eddington, Materialists, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps since 2024. Later this year, he’ll also be starring in Avengers: Doomsday and the Tony Gilroy written-and-directed film Behemoth!.
