Phoenix Beverage Cart Girl Hits The Course On A Sunday. Then She Shares How Much She Takes Home In Tips: ‘I’m A Hustler Too’

Beverage cart attendants at golf courses can make serious money. The job is less common than traditional serving, but with roughly 16,000 golf courses in the U.S., it’s become a popular niche.

On TikTok, “cart girl” content has also taken off, with attendants filming their rounds, their pet peeves, interactions with golfers, and how much they earn in tips, which can add up fast.

One such video popped up recently from Phoenix-based TikTok creator Maddie (@madzillz), which has pulled in over 73,600 views.

What Does A Day In The Life Of A ‘Cart Girl’ Look Like?

In the clip, Maddie drives her cart around the golf course, updating the tip total on the screen as the day goes on.

“Sunday on the bev cart,” she writes in the video’s text overlay. “With tip count.”

She starts the day by driving her first lap of the course. “It’s pretty slow today, so probably not gonna make very much money,” she says, adding on-screen, “We are here for the vibes baby.”

On her first lap, she serves two Red Bulls, some chips, and a cocktail, bringing in $15 in tips. During the second round, she serves more cocktails, at one point driving past golfers she captions as “they hate me.”

That round turns out better, earning her $46.

On the third lap, she serves a soda and gets a compliment. “You’re so pretty,” someone tells her. Afterward, she adds, “I love when the ladies are nice to me, because a lot of them aren’t.”

She brings in $33.50 on that round and another $21 on the fourth.

“Not a lot of people out there right now, but I’m still gonna do one more lap because I said I would,” she says.

That final lap ends up paying off, pushing her total to $153. “The last lap is unfortunately worth it,” she writes at the end of the video.

Commenters Are Impressed

In the comments, users thought the total wasn’t a bad deal for the amount of time she worked. “Not bad for 5 hours,” one person said.

Another praised her skills, writing, “I know you make a killing.” Maddie responded to that comment, writing, “I’m a hustler baby.”

“That’s more than I’m making on TikTok,” another user quipped.

A Major Issue Cart Girls Report On

Many women who work beverage carts at golf courses have shared stories about unwanted attention from men. On Reddit, attendants say harassment is a common issue on the job.

In 2023, a former beverage cart attendant sued a golf club for more than $15 million, alleging she was groped and sexually harassed by members while working there, and that management failed to intervene.

Other women in the same role have echoed those concerns, often pointing to older male golfers as the most frequent source of inappropriate behavior.
