Criminals don’t stand much of a chance in Ontario, Canada because the police force is not to be messed with. If you are speeding along, expect a sleek police cruiser to swiftly come up on you in Ontario in a hurry and quietly. The Ontario police have excitedly welcomed a Tesla Model X interceptor to their fleet.

Ontario’s Provincial Police (with the Naughty By Nature-esque abbreviation of OPP) now have a Tesla Model X, specifically a P90D. The OPP flaunted their super fast police cruiser at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto last week. Not only is it fast, but it can sneak up on suspects with impressive silence thanks to the electric motor.

Unfortunately for the OPP, the Model X isn’t a permanent addition to the force and is on temporary loan to the police department. “That may be the future of policing down the road,” said Sgt. Kerry Schmidt, “It’s not there today, but will be down the road. You never know.” The Model X probably won’t be a mainstay in many police departments due to the $100,000 price tag, but for now the OPP is loving their high-speed police cruiser.
