Among the predictions attributed to Nostradamus for 2026 is one involving “Seven months great war, people dead through evil.” As Sky News History points out, despite the fact that “the text itself contains no ‘2026’” it “hasn’t stopped interpreters from seeing 2026 as a year that fits this passage.”

In one such case, for 2026, he wrote, “The great swarm of bees will arise… by night the ambush.” Bees connect with political symbolism, so this could mean political figures such as Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have significant victories ahead in 2026.
Another quatrain numbered ’26’ reads, “Because of the favor that the city will show… the Ticino will overflow with blood…” The most well-known Ticino is located in the southernmost region of Switzerland. Residents there might want to keep their heads on a swivel in 2026.
Baba Vanga’s predictions for 2026
As she predicted in 2025, “Nostradamus of the Balkans” Baba Vanga, who passed away in 1996, foresaw an encounter with extraterrestrial life in 2026. Naturally, believers point to interstellar object 3I/Atlas as being involved in that.
Among her other predictions are massive earthquakes, violent volcanic eruptions, and extreme weather affecting a large portion of the world. While being pretty generic, Sky News History cites heatwaves, wildfires, and earthquakes as possible evidence of her accuracy.
Speaking of Baba Vanga’s accuracy, she has been credited with predicting major events such as the terrorist attack on 9/11, the war in Ukraine, the death of Princess Diana, the Chernobyl disaster, and the election of Barack Obama as President of the United States.
Baba Vanga, again, as she predicted in 2025, has warned of a wider escalation of conflict around the world, according to her devotees. They also believe she predicted that artificial intelligence would start causing severe disruption of jobs and causing numerous major ethical conundrums in 2026.
On the plus side, she also purportedly predicted significant advances in cancer diagnosis and treatments for 2026. And finally, there are her ruminations on the possibility of us finally achieving alien contact. At least we think that last one is a plus, right?
