During a lengthy sit down interview with Cosmopolitan to promote her new lingerie brand Syrn, actress and influencer Sydney Sweeney detailed what she’s looking for in a partner. That explanation prompted a response from Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua.
According to Sydney Sweeney, she’s looking for a man who is “athletic and outgoing and funny.” Given that it’s been reported that she’s dating record exec Scooter Braun, it would appear that the 28-year-old has, at least temporarily, given up on finding a man with those qualities.
“Athletic and outgoing and funny. I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me. And someone who loves their family. I love myself a man… oh, wow, when you print that, you won’t hear the inflection in my voice,” Sweeney told Cosmo.
Feeling as though he fit the bill, however, Los Angeles Rams superstar wide receiver Puka Nacua tossed his hat into the ring by slyly tweeting that he “love[s] skydiving.”

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua took his shot at Sydney Sweeney after she said in an interview that she’s looking for an athletic man who likes skydiving
Given her desire for an apparently athletic man despite dating Braun, that portion of her comments have made most of the headlines. The rest of her answer, however, sounds like if you asked ChatGPT to create a stereotypical “girl boss” character from 2015.
“Look, I am a boss in my life. I take control. I go after what I want. I am confident, and I am successful, and I don’t actually need a man. I’ve got myself. I’ve got an incredible group of girlfriends. I’ve got a team of bada– women. That is very intimidating to a lot of guys, so a guy needs to be able to stand in that with me,” the Euphoria actress explained.
“It takes a very specific person who can handle the world that comes with me. There was a guy who I really, really liked, but he told me he can’t handle my world. It’s a hard thing.”
Seeing Sweeney and Nacua together would surely be entertaining from an intellectual point of view, as the pair would likely have a combined IQ of about 145.
Sweeney is understandably feeling herself these days as she has not only launched her lingerie brand but is also coming off the biggest box office hit of her career in The Housemaid, which has grossed over $300 million at the global box office, passing Anyone But You to become the highest-grossing movie of her career thus far.
