What temperature do you set your thermostat at when you’re hanging around doing stuff in your house in the summer? I bet it’s set no higher than 75 degrees. Do you change the temperature setting in your home when you go to bed? Maybe lower it or if you’re a psycho, raise it a little bit? How about when you know you aren’t going to home for awhile?
My guess is that a lot of you reading this do all of those things because it sucks to sweat in your own home when you really don’t have to, right?
Well, according to a new report, tweeted out by WTSP investigative reporter Jennifer Titus, these are the recommended temperature setting in your home for energy efficiency.
• 78° F when you’re home
• 85° F when you’re at work or away
• 82° F when you’re sleeping
If you disgaree with those recommendations, you’re not alone, because Jennifer is getting ratio’d to hell and back – currently sitting at over 2,700 comments with just 112 retweets. Pretty impressive when you think about it.
How cool do you keep your house?

She isn’t even the author of the story published on WTSP’s website. That honoro goes to one Chelsea Tatham. She, however, was wise enough to not tweet the story on her account.
Because poor Jennifer… her mentions are not great.

Dear everybody.
I'd die of heatstroke if I kept thermostat at 78 degrees.

82 degrees for sleeping could work...if you want to multitask a sauna and dying in your sleep🥵

AC should be set to 60 degrees in every home and office at all times

I think you may have inadvertently brought all political parties together under one roof with this tweet.
