Members of Nightcrawler Research, a data-centric UFO research team, claim they have recorded three UFOs in New York. In all three instances, the citizen journalists claim that each object affected the camera quality while they were recording. They also revealed how their work has caught the attention of the FBI and other government agencies.
While speaking with Ross Coulthart, host of NewsNation’s Reality Check, John Tedesco of Nightcrawler Research said one of the UFO events they caught on camera in New York occurred on July 5, 2025.
“This was an object that presented over the water. Initially, what we saw was something that, roughly about 600 feet from the surface off the Atlantic Ocean, we saw an object that was not very luminous, very, very low, low light, not really in the IR, some visible light was present, and we noticed that the light presented in the same basic area, the same area of the sky,” he said. “Within a short period of time, that object disappeared, and we saw this, what looked like a sphere on the water, an extremely bright, luminous sphere.”
Tedesco went on to say, “This was invisible to the eye, and completely invisible. It was only through the hyperspectral cameras… Nothing on radar. And the object might have been too small for radar anyway, and it was also both on the ocean surface.”
The research team discussed the New Jersey drones and two other UFO sightings they recorded
John Tedesco was joined in the discussion by other members of the Nightcrawler Research team, including Gerry Tedesco and Donna Lee Nardo. In another part of the discussion, they addressed the mysterious, unexplained drones that spooked many people in New York and New Jersey at the beginning of this year. Interestingly, they reported some of those drones were basically invisible to the naked eye.
“At least a couple of the ones that we got close enough to view with a zoom lens, they resembled quadcopters, but they were very difficult to see even with the infrared,” they said. “They consistently shut their lights off and changed their positions and when their lights were off, they were virtually impossible to see.”
Later in the discussion, the Nightcrawler Research team spoke about other encounters with a UFOs. In one case, they caught an object on camera that appears to be flying in and out of the water. Another UFO encounter they detailed involved multiple black triangles that they located inside a cloud and recorded on radar.
Ross Coulthart asked the group if government agencies like the FBI have been taking their reports seriously. John Tedesco replied, “Absolutely. It’s an ongoing thing with them. They’re certainly very concerned about it. And, you know, our communication, it’s been ongoing.”
