Ronnie Taylor, the man seen being punched in the face by Reacher star Alan Ritchson in the viral video, is dropping his charges against the Reacher star. Authorities also found that Ritchson was acting in self-defense.

Despite the fact that body camera footage clearly exonerated Alan Ritchson — as Ronnie Taylor can be seen jumping into the street in front of his mototcycle, forcing him to abruptly break and flip over his handlebars — Taylor claims he’s dropping the charges because he has “zero interest in going to court.” Sure, Ronnie — whatever you say.

Tennessee man Ronnie Taylor claims he dropped charges against Reacher star Alan Ritchson because he had “zero interest in going to court”

“I was only interested in the safety of my neighborhood because he was racing through the neighborhood. He’s a Hollywood superstar and I’m not. He’s got lawyers. I didn’t even lawyer up. Police told me standing in front of him and his bike was enough for the claim of self-defense,” Taylor told TMZ.

“I never took a swing at the guy. I pushed him — that’s all I did. I think that also had something to do with the self-defense.”

Prior to Taylor’s latest misleading comments, Ritchson had already released his body camera footage that shows him riding his motorcycle down a suburban Tennessee street when Taylor steps out into the middle of the road in front of his bike, causing Ritchson to slam on the brakes and flip over his handlebars. That is when the altercation began, leading to Ritchson punching Taylor in the face.

Earlier in the week, Ritchson — clearly moving on from the incident — took to Instagram to confirm he’s finished ADR work on season four of Reacher, which he says will be the best yet. At this time, however, the official release date for season four of Reacher has not been announced, but Ritchson says it’ll be “soon.”
