Archie the Russian bear might be the most lovable creature on planet earth. After a Russian safari park went out of business in 2019, Archie was rescued by his new owner Veronika Dichka.

The two are best friends and often go fishing together. Sometimes, when Dichka gets tired, Archie even rows the boat.

A video of the two out on a lake in Novosibirsk, Russia recently began to circulate and it looks like Archie is having the time of his life. And if Archie is happy, we are too.

The video showed the two posing for a photoshoot and the resulting pictures are equally as joyful. Look at how content Archie looks waiting on a fish to bite.

Flip to the second picture here and look at Archie manning his rod. He looks like a pro, life vest and all!

Dichka isn’t able to release Archie into the wild because he has lived in captivity his whole life, so she makes sure to take him out for adventures as often as possible.

“He sees me as a member of his family, we share food, sleep in my arms when afraid, and hide behind me,” she said. “Archie spends every day with us and is madly in love with water. He loves it very much when I take him to new places, so this shoot was a pleasure for him!”

If anyone knows of any Russian safari parks that are going to close, let me know. I want an Archie!
