Tom Guiry, who famously played Scotty Smalls in the 1993 film The Sandlot, was arrested after being caught on video throwing a dumbbell at a car window.

Somehow though, that wasn’t even the most bizarre slash frightening thing that Guiry did prior to being arrested.

Police say Tom Guiry also walked up to his neighbor’s front door and rang the doorbell with a large knife in his hand.

That too was caught on video.

In the first clip, a shirtless Guiry can be seen raising a 35-pound dumbbell above his head and smashing it down on the front windshield of a white Jeep. He then struts away, crossing the street, while the dumbbell rolls down the hood of the car.

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ that when the owner of the Jeep yelled at Guiry about his windshield being shattered, The Sandlot actor replied, “That sucks man, I’ll pay you back, I’m sorry, I’m gonna get you back.”

Police, who found him in the middle of the street when the responded to the disturbance, say he also told the neighbor, “I did it. I’m sorry man. I’m coming back to get you … I … sorry brother, I’ll pay you back.”

In the second clip, taken from a doorbell security camera, Guiry, still shirtless, can be seen holding a knife and looking very impatient.

The 42-year-old Guiry ended up being arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct and malicious damage. No reason was reported by TMZ for either incident.

He had been previously arrested in 2013 at a Houston airport after allegedly trying to kick a cop in the face and then headbutting a police officer after being informed that he was too drunk to board his flight.

Tom Guiry’s most recent acting credits are the films The Unforgivable and Roe v. Wade in 2021, and The Prom in 2020.

Between his star turn in The Sandlot and those films he appeared in numerous other films including U-571, Black Hawk Down, Mystic River, and The Revenant.
