Video of FBI director Kash Patel partying in the locker room with the United States Men’s hockey team after their gold medal game victory of Team Canada has made headlines for numerous reasons, perhaps the foremost being the fact that he was over in Europe drinking beers while his agency continues to fumble the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has been missing since February 1, 2026, after authorities say she was abducted from her home in the Tucson, Arizona area. Despite the nearly month-long investigation, though, a suspect has yet to be named in Nancy’s disappearance.
Given that the FBI is the national law enforcement agency that’s leading the search for Nancy Guthrie, and is far more equipped to find her than local law enforcement, the odd visual of FBI head Kash Patel — who was already on the hot seat for his bumbling investigation into Charlie Kirk’s shooter and claiming that there was no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women to other people — chugging beers while his agency flounders to draw up any leads went instantly viral.
A desperate Savannah Guthrie has upped the reward for her mother Nancy’s return to $1 million dollars amidst FBI director Kash Patel’s European party session with Team USA

“3 million pages of evidence of a massive s– trafficking ring and this is what the FBI director is doing right now,” read one quote tweet of Kash Patel chugging beer, which was racked up nearly 300,000 likes and 4 million views.
“Your tax dollars paid for this dips— to fly on a Gulfstream G550 to Milan to cosplay as an olympian. Can someone in Congress please subpoena how much Patel’s make-a-wish trip cost us?” read a second popular post with over a million views.
“I’ll never forget when J. Edgar Hoover did a keg stand with Team USA after they won gold in men’s hockey in 1960,” a third joked.

Despite her mother’s return having virtually no traction at this point, Savannah Guthrie has decided to up the reward for “any information that leads to her recovery” to $1 million.
“We still believe she can come home… we also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother, Pierce. If this is what is to be, then we will accept it. But we need to know where she is. We need her to come home. For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery… someone out there knows something that can bring her home. Somebody knows. We are begging you to please come forward now,” Savannah said on Instagram.
Whether or not Guthrie’s mom returns safe — which unfortunately seems unlikely at this stage given that no proof-of-life has been provided by the alleged kidnappers — reports indicate that Savannah will never return to The Today Show, which she’s hosted since 2012, either way.
