NFL Redzone host Scott Hanson has popped up in a TikTok video that was taken in the aftermath of a car accident that Hanson says could’ve killed two people.

On Twitter, Scott Hanson — who has been the host of NFL Network’s Redzone channel since 2009 — confirmed it was him in the video. Hanson has also confirmed that he was not directly involved in the crash and was a witness to the accident.

The TikToker, however, does appear to be the driver of the flipped car, as Hanson can be heard yelling, “This guy just pulled out a watermelon from his car!”

“Yes [that’s me in the video]. 2 ppl could’ve died, & that clown was excited about his Tik Tok. I couldn’t believe it. You know his name/identity? He jetted when the police were pulling up. I video’d him in case what he was doing was illegal – (tampering with the scene of a crime?). So disappointing,” Hanson tweeted.

At this time, the TikToker opposite Hanson has yet to be identified.  They aren’t anyone notable as far as TikTok is concerned as they have just 776 followers (at the time of this writing).

The video, which is still live on the TikToker’s account, is simply captioned “He mad,” in reference to Hanson.

Due to the bizarre nature of the video — not only is Hanson in it, but the recorder reaches into a flipped car and pulls out a watermelon — the top comment on the TikTok post reads, “That was the most realistic GTA video I have ever seen.” Another comment described the video as a fever dream.

Prior to working for NFL Network, Hanson graduated from Syracuse University an worked at stations such as NBC affiliates WPBN-TV and WICS-TV, ABC affiliate WFTS-TV, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, and Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. He then joined NFL Network in 2006, where he has been since.
