Screenshots of an alleged Instagram exchange between NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and superstar international pop star Sabrina Carpenter went viral after a post titled “Shaq exposed for shooting his shot at Sabrina Carpenter” started making the rounds.

While the messages were fake, they were so out of pocket that The Big Aristotle felt compelled to address them anyway.

On a recent episode of The Big Podcast, the 54-year-old four-time NBA champion and one-time MVP pulled up the messages, read them aloud, and then denied their legitimacy while also defending himself.

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal denied sending direct messages to popstar Sabrina Carpenter while addressing the viral story on his podcast

In the fake messages, Shaq was falsely shown to have said:

“Damn, baby. I would keep your farts in a cologne bottle and spray it on me every day,” the fake opener read.

“I can’t be horny and want some of that snow bunny kitty for myself. You’re being rude for no reason,” the messages continued.

“My meat would have you in the hospital,” they concluded.

In the fake thread, a fabricated Carpenter account told him he was “way too famous to be sending me messages like that.”

Not only did Shaq deny the DMs, but added that if he were to slide into Carpenter’s messages, he’d be smoother than that.

“First of all, ladies, the Diesel got way more game than that. I’m just saying,” Shaq joked.

As of now, Carpenter has not commented on the situation and likely never will given its falseness.

So far this year, Carpenter has performed at the 68th Grammy Awards and a string of Lollapalooza in South America, specifically in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.  She is currently gearing up to be one of the headlining acts at Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California on Saturday, April 10, and Saturday, April 17.
