After reportedly terrorizing the city of New Orleans during Mardi Gras, troubled actor Shia LaBeouf has since surfaced shirtless and pantless in the lobby of an Italian hotel asking for a light for his cigarette.
Back in February, Shia LaBeouf — last seen in Francis Ford Coppola’s instantly infamous 2024 flop Megalopolis — had been on an extended bar crawl in NOLA in the days leading up to be Fat Tuesday, which ended in violence at a Faubourg Marigny bar in the first hours of Mardi Gras.
According to reports, LaBeouf, 39, was kicked out of a Royal Street business after causing a disturbance and, once removed, allegedly struck a victim multiple times with a closed fist. The victims reported that LaBeouf left, but then came back acting even more aggressive. Video footage showed a shirtless LaBeouf shoving one person to the ground and punching another in the face before pushing a third.
Another video also showed LaBeouf getting beaten up before police arrived on the scene. Police said LaBeouf repeatedly shouted a homophobic slur during the fight and his arrest, at one point shouting “These f—— put me in jail. I’m a Catholic.”
He was booked on two counts of simple battery, and after being released on his own recognizance, headed straight to Bourbon Street to continue drinking.
An Orleans Parish judge subsequently raised his bond to $100,000, had him drug tested and ordered him to attend rehab. LaBeouf was then arrested a second time on an additional misdemeanor battery charge stemming from the same incident, voluntarily turning himself in after learning of the new warrant.
