Stephen A. Smith is clearly as hyped as the rest of us about the return of the NFL season, as he showed up to the first Monday morning First Take episode of the NFL season dressed like the Joker.
Smith certainly wasn’t alone, though, as his new co-host Shannon Sharpe also wore a bright pink jacket.

just like elementary heavy velvet curtain on stage seemingly unnoticed it truly helps the obvious Lilac suit of Stephen A Smith to pop.. a steady backdrop is always necessary… Contrast… pic.twitter.com/zWGAQvTP5K

Monday’s episode of First Take marked the first time that Smith and Sharpe have co-hosted an episode following a full slate of NFL games.
The show obviously opened with a discussion about the Dallas Cowboys’ comprehensive beat down of the New York Giants, who they absolutely embarrassed on a Sunday Night Football in a 40-0 shutout.
Thus far, the reaction to Sharpe’s new role on First Take has been largely positive.
Nah man Stephen A and Shannon Sharpe are a dynamic duo lmao

Prior to hopping on First Take with Stephen A. Smith, Sharpe co-hosted Undisputed with Skip Bayless over on Fox Sports 1. Smith and Sharpe were also joined by former Pittsburgh Steelers safety and now stalwart ESPN analyst Ryan Clark to open the show.
After kicking off on Thursday, September 7, Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season is done just yet, as the New York Jets still need to host the Buffalo Bills in the first Monday Night Football game of the year tonight. Heading into the matchup, which will be Rodgers’ official debut with Gang Green, the Bills are favored by two points.
