The kids from Stranger Things have come quite a long way from their days of being unknown child actors when the series first began back in 2016.

According to a report from Puck Newsthe stars of Stranger Things — undoubtedly the biggest cultural phenomenon that Netflix has created — will be paid like top-tier television stars for the final season, with some of their salaries approaching $10 million.

The headliners, David Harbour and Winona Ryder, will make a whopping $9.5 million for season five. Then, the core group of kids — Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink — will each get $7 million for the final batch of episodes. Lastly, the 20s-ish crowd of Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, and Charlie Heaton will each get $6 million.

At this time, Stranger Things 5 does not have an official premiere date. Production will likely begin sometime this year, though, which puts it on course for a 2024 premiere.

Shawn Levy, the executive producer and frequent director of the series, certainly has quite a full plate in the coming years. Not only will he be working on Stranger Things 5 but he’ll be directing Deadpool 3 with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, which begins shooting this fall. There were also reports that Levy had been hired by Lucasfilm to direct a “secret” Star Wars film.
