The first trailer for Supergirl, the second official film in the DCU following July’s smash hit Superman, has been released. Supergirl, which stars House of the Dragon breakout Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, hits theaters on June 26, 2026.
In addition to Milly Alcock as Supergirl and Jason Momoa as Lobo, Supergirl will also star Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham.
DC Studios releases the first official trailer for Supergirl, which stars Milly Alcock in the lead role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl
“Supergirl, DC Studios’ newest feature film to hit the big screen, will be in theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures, starring Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl/Kara Zor-El. Craig Gillespie directs the film from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.”
“When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”
One of the most notable aspects of the trailer is the debut of Jason Momoa — who portrayed Aquaman in the previous iteration of the DC cinematic franchise — as the intergalactic anti-hero Lobo.

Alcock made her debut as Supergirl in the closing moments of Superman when it’s revealed that Krypto is actually *her* dog and that Superman had been watching him while Kara was out partying across the galaxy.
