Sydney Sweeney’s Lingerie Brand Syrn Has Generated Tons Of Attention, But How Is It Selling?

Sydney Sweeney further blurred the line on whether she’s an actress or actually an elite influencer late last month with the launch of her lingerie brand Syrn. Based on early data, the launch seems to have been a success for Sweeney.

Given Sydney Sweeney’s status as one of Hollywood’s few modern-day sex symbols, her launching a lingerie brand was always going to generate plenty of headlines, especially with the 28-year-old modeling a ton of the product herself.

But as Sweeney’s box office career has proven, popularity doesn’t always equal profit, meaning that while Syrn’s notoriety was guaranteed, its success was not.

According to Parade, however, the launch of the first collection, Seductress, sold out almost instantly, with the second collection set to release today (Wednesday, February 4 at 11 a.m. EST)

“Last week, the actress’s SYRN launch went live, and the Seductress category sold out almost instantly. The sell-out signals major momentum for the brand and a clear appetite for its confident, sensual aesthetic. The rapid sellout of the Seductress category marked a pivotal moment for SYRN, positioning it as more than a celebrity-backed passion project. Fans and shoppers alike snapped up the pieces within hours, with many items disappearing almost as soon as they went live.” [via Parade]

So — other than her obvious god-given talents — why lingerie? According to Sweeney, she wanted to create a brand that “understands women instead of talking at them.”

“I wanted to create a world and a feeling. I wanted to build a lingerie brand that feels like it understands women instead of talking at them. Syrn is about confidence without pressure, feeling sexy, powerful, soft, playful, or all of the above, depending on the day. As the sole founder, my vision was to create something that lives in real life and doesn’t hold anyone back,” the actress told Elle in a recent interview.

Coming off of the success of The Housemaid, which has become the highest-grossing film of her career with over $300 million at the box office, Sweeney will next be seen making a cameo appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which will be released in theaters on May 1, and the third and final season of Euphoria, which premieres on HBO in April.
