Tasty Tune Tuesday 11/17: The Second Edition Is Perfect For The Gym, The Car Or A Cold Night Under The Stars

Tasty Tune Tuesday

Seven days have passed since our first edition of Tasty Tune Tuesday, which means it’s time for new music! On the third day of every week, I’ll drop ten songs that tickle my eardrums. Variety of tracks will range from hip hop/rap, EDM, country, singer/songwriter, Americana, R&B and everything in between— something for everyone depending on what I’m jamming that week.

We continue the series with a very strange compilation of some new chart-toppers, sultry vocalists and grooves. Here’s the tracklist:

Track No. 1: Maggie’s Song – Chris Stapleton

Chris Stapleton doesn’t give a care about what the labels want “country music” to sound like and it’s pure gold every time. There is not a better, more unique voice in the game, and his new album is fantastic from top to bottom. I went with one of the tracks that won’t get as much air time, and one of my favorites. It has a little bit of a feel similar to ‘The Weight’ by The Band.

Track No. 2: Drankin N Smokin – Future, Lil Uzi Vert

Pluto X Baby Pluto is full of bangers. This is my favorite track on the tape, and it leans heavily in favor of Future. Good in the gym, good at a party, good while passing one around.

Track No. 3: Never The 1 – Rosie

I don’t know how stumbled into this one but I’m very glad I did. Rosie has a fantastic voice. Her soft, soulful melody is just creative enough to stand out but doesn’t try to do too much.

Track No. 4: Cowpoke – Colter Wall

Colter Wall is often compared to a modern day, Canadian Johnny Cash with a little bit more twang. That doesn’t do his voice justice, but you’ll understand exactly what it means when you listen to this one.

Track No. 5: TRAGIC – The Kid LAROI, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Internet Money

The Kid LAROI lays down a melodic, agile flow over a warm piano that is anchored by a hard-hitting trap beat.

Track No. 6: Better (rework) – Jack Garratt

Goooooovy.

Track No. 7: Rule The World – 2 Chainz, Ariana Grande

2 Chainz’s new album isn’t my most favorite, but that doesn’t mean we can’t throw it back a little bit. Trap Ari >>>

Track No. 8: Friend of the Devil (live) – The Mulligan Brothers

A different take on a Grateful Dead classic.

Track No. 9: SpottieOttieDopalicious – Outkast

What did I say last week about the brass sections? There can never be too much horn.

Track No. 10: Lullaby – Lil Uzi Vert

I featured a Future-heavy track up top, but Uzi deserves equal recognition for a banger of an album.
