It’s tough to be a sports fan these days and not find Taylor Rooks virtually everywhere.
Not only can she be seen hosting NBA-related shows on TNT, Amazon’s Thursday Night Football, and her own podcast with Bleacher Report, but she’s also virtually always at the coolest events given the connections in the industry.
One of the obvious attributes of Rooks is that while she may be the interviewer, she’s got the celebrity looks of someone who should be the interviewee, which has resulted in some pretty insane mentions on social media, as you might imagine.
During a recent interview with Interview Magazine, in fact, Rooks detailed just how insane they get. To her credit, though, the 30-year-old star media personality seemed to be a good sport about it, acknowledging that she owes some of her success to the power of social media.
“They are crazy. I owe a lot of my career to social media. But there are times when you have to take breaks. The more popular you get, the mentions get a little crazier,” Rooks said.
In addition to her work for Turner Sports (TNT/Bleacher Report) and Prime Video’s coverage of the NFL, Rooks is also an ambassador for brands such as Amtrak, Reebok, Capital One, and more.
Rook has also become quite the celebrity herself, as she’s frequently seen mingling with the likes of Quavo, Saquon Barkley, Ja Morant, Micah Parsons, Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson Odell Beckham Jr., Draymond Green, Jack Harlow, and even Drake. All of those people, for example, are featured in a *single* Instagram slideshow of hers.
Prior to her current roles at Turner and Amazon, Rooks graduated from the University of Illinois before taking a job as an on-air host and reporter with the Big Ten Network.
She then made a move to the New York City market after getting a job with SNY before ultimately landing at Turner Sports (Bleacher Report, specifically) back in 2018, where she has been since. In fact, Rooks just signed a new contract extension with Turner in late 2022, meaning sports fans can expect to see a lot more of her in the coming years.
