Dave Grohl made the bold choice to fire a shot at the biggest musician on the planet when he implied Taylor Swift doesn’t actually perform live music at her concerts, and she appeared to respond to that accusation while capping off her Eras Tour stretch in London on Sunday.

At this point, you don’t even need to be a fan of Taylor Swift to be aware of the mania she’s been able to spark with the help of the Eras Tour.

The singer set a record when her string of concerts became the first tour to cross the billion-dollar threshold in 2023, and it’s safe to assume that mark will be more than doubled by the time it comes to an end when she wraps things up with her 152nd and final show in December.

Based on her current star power, Swift could’ve probably posted up on a stool with a guitar for a couple of hours while making her way through her impressive number of hits and generated just as much money as she has on the Eras Tour. With that said, the production value has garnered a ton of praise from concertgoers who’ve been treated to what can only be described as a spectacle at every single show.

Anyone who’s familiar with the superstar knows the last thing you want to do is draw the ire of her rabidly devoted army of Swifties, but over the weekend, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl made the bold decision to invite their wrath when he strongly implied Swift and her Eras Tour backing band don’t actually perform live music during the shows.

Grohl made those comments when the Foo Fighters were performing at London Stadium on Saturday night, and on Sunday, Swift appeared to respond while ending her three-night run at Wembley Stadium by praising her band, which she stressed was “going to be playing live for you for three-and-a-half hours tonight.”

Now I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if Grohl ends up on the receiving end of a song featuring references to an aging rock and roll star throwing unsubstantiated shade her way.
