Taylor Swift was never married to her ex-Joe Alwyn in secret. To believe so borders on tinfoil hat conspiracy theories.
Even still, there are a lot of people who currently believe that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn got married in secret and now her PR rep, Tree Paine, is definitely shutting down those rumors. Tree Paine hadn’t tweeted since early April but broke her Twitter/X hiatus to share a screenshot from the anonymous celebrity gossip deuxmoi perpetuating the false rumor.

As you can see, Tree Paine’s message is simple: Taylor Swift never got married to Joe Alwyn in secret.
First off, anyone gullible enough to believe a rumor like that either knows nothing about Taylor Swift or isn’t stopping to think for even a fraction of a second.
Do they really think one of the 10 most famous people on earth would get married in secret? She just became a billionaire by monetizing literally every aspect of her tour. She’s not someone who appears to crave public attention but she’s also a PR master (or employs PR masters) and understands the value of her fans having insight into her private life.
There is simply no world, none whatsoever, where Taylor Swift gets married and it isn’t a semi-public affair. If/when she gets engaged that will be a global story. Her choice of wedding dress will be a massive story, the planner she chooses, the venue.
People will lose their minds over the frickin’ cups she chooses to serve wine in at the wedding and those wines will sell out on every shelf because Swifties will buy up every bottle for a tiny taste of what it was like to be at her wedding.
Shut it down. A ‘secret marriage’ never happened. Believe her rep. Move on.
